As tensions rise, Iran is expected to strike Israel in 48 hours, according to reports

According to a report on Friday (April 12), Iran is expected to attack Israel within the next two days due to the two nations’ growing tensions, and Israel is getting ready for it. A source informed by the Iranian government was cited by The Wall Street Journal.

The long-standing antagonism between Iran and the Jewish people is about to intensify, while the latter is already engaged in a protracted struggle with Hamas in Gaza that shows no signs of abating.
According to the source cited by The Wall Street Journal, Iran is still considering the political ramifications of striking Israel directly.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s adviser told The Wall Street Journal that “the strike plans are in front of the Supreme Leader, and he is still weighing the political risk.”

Tensions between Iran and Israel increase
Tensions have increased as a result of Iran’s threat to exact revenge for the attack on its embassy in Damascus, Syria, which killed six military officers, including a senior Iranian general.

Israel has neither admitted nor denied any role in the strike, despite Iran’s accusations to the contrary. On April 1, Israeli aeroplanes are said to have struck Iran’s consulate in Damascus, killing many people. Mohammad Reza Zahedi of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps was killed in the assault that destroyed the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital.

The Israeli attack was seen as a step up in the nation’s campaign against Iranian military leaders, who had provided assistance to terrorist organisations that were at odds with Israel.

US issues a travel alert
In anticipation of the possibility of an assault on the Jewish nation, the US issued a travel alert for its citizens visiting Israel.

Iran promised to retaliate against Israeli aggression after its consulate was destroyed. Following the assault, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, “Israel must be punished, and it shall be.”

India issues a travel alert
On Friday, April 12, the Ministry of External Affairs issued travel advice for Iran and Israel, advising all Indian nationals to avoid visiting either country until further notice.
