At Mt. Everest base camp, two ladies put on a show and set a Guinness World Record

Two ladies are seen in a video doing a comedy event at Mount Everest’s base camp. The film was uploaded on YouTube by Guinness World Records.

Guinness World Records (GWR) routinely posts footage of individuals setting unbelievable records on YouTube. It just shared a video of two ladies who travelled to Mount Everest’s base camp to do a comedy act. And what’s remarkable is that they did it to raise money for a significant cause in addition to setting a record.
Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn, also known as “The Scummy Mummies,” presented a 32-minute stand-up comedy set for an audience of over 30 (unaware) individuals at the Everest Base Camp, according to a GWR post that accompanied the video.

The opening of the video explains Gibson and Thorn’s motivation for recording the song. The purpose of the film is to forward the cause of a group that conducted research to determine the causes of preterm births. Joe Gibson was born nine weeks early, at a precocious age. They provide assistance to preterm birthing families and infants. There have been several stand-up comedy performances by Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn all around the globe.

The Guinness Book of World Records officially recognised their achievement as the “highest altitude stand-up comedy gig on land” four months after their high-altitude performance.

Gibson stated to the Guinness World Records that she trained, went hiking, swimming, and trekking to be ready for the 10-day climb to the Everest base camp.

The ladies discuss their journey to Nepal as the video goes on. They describe how they encountered a barrier but yet managed to get to a location where climber Nirmal Purja’s expedition team had set up camp. They consented to serve as their gig’s host. Gibson and Thorn dressed in their golden catsuits and gave a performance for a small audience, largely Everest climbers and employees of the excursion firm.

A day ago, the video was published. The video has received close to 10,000 views since it was released, and the numbers are growing.
