Eight family members in a UK restaurant depart without paying the Rs 34,000 bill; see what happens next

A family of eight was the subject of a police complaint after they left a restaurant without paying their £329 (about Rs. 34,000) bill.

The issue was discovered at the UK’s recently launched Bella Ciao Swansea restaurant. When the group first attempted to pay the bill using a savings card, a lady was turned down twice. After that, she told her son to stay in the restaurant while she went to get another card out of her vehicle, but she never came back. After a while, the son got a call and walked out of the restaurant without paying the bill.

In a Facebook post, Bella Ciao Swansea released the CCTV video showing the mother and her kid trying to pay the bill. The restaurant went on to say that it was challenging to get in touch with the family after the event since they had booked a reservation using a fictitious telephone number.

Social media users expressed their dissatisfaction at the family’s behavior in response to the restaurant’s post, which attracted attention. “The children deserve better parents,” said one commenter. “All the restaurants should change, pay when you order. I don’t mind paying when I order,” another person said.

Bella Ciao Swansea reported the event to the police, and as a result, the identities of the people involved are now known to the authorities. The eatery said, “We hope they are finally caught and do not do this to any more businesses.”
