Biden’s ambitions to promote regional peace while preserving tight connections with the Israeli government were jeopardized, however, when a bomb at the Ahli Arab Hospital late on Tuesday killed 200 to 300 people.

“Last night’s blast at the hospital in Gaza really saddened and enraged me. And from what I’ve seen, it seems like the other side did it, not you,” Biden said Netanyahu.

He said, “We must keep in mind that Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people.

Health officials in the Gaza Strip, which is governed by Hamas, said that the explosion at the Ahli Arab Hospital was the latest in a series of Israeli airstrikes and killed 200 to 300 people. 500 deaths, according to a statement from Hamas. According to the Israeli Defense Forces, a rocket launched by the Islamic Jihad erroneously fired and hit the hospital.

“On October 7, 1400 Israelis were killed by Hamas in a single day. Another day that will go down in history is October 7. You correctly said, Mr. President, that Hamas is worse than ISIS. To combat Hamas, the civilized world must come together, declared Netanyahu.

Biden has said that ISIS seemed more sane in comparison to Hamas’ atrocities.

Thousands of Israelis and Palestinians have died as a result of the conflict between Hamas and Israel that ensued after the assaults on October 7. More than 1,400 Israelis have died, largely civilians murdered in Hamas’ terrorist strike, leaving over 2,700 Palestinians dead and over 9,700 injured (this total does not include Tuesday’s hospital bomb fatalities). Authorities in Gaza estimate that more than 1,200 individuals are buried under the debris across Gaza.
