IDF Releases ‘Audio Evidence’ Of Islamic Jihad’s Role In Gaza Hospital Bombing During Israel-Palestine Conflict

In an audio recording released by the Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday, two Hamas members are heard discussing how a failed rocket attack by another Palestinian militant group led to the explosion that destroyed the Al Ahli Arab hospital in southern Gaza, according to a translation provided by the Israeli military.

Additionally, the IDF claimed that overhead video footage shot by Israeli Air Force assets established the participation of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the attack via social networking site X (previously Twitter).

“The Al Ahli hospital in Gaza City was struck by a botched rocket fire by the terrorist group Islamic Jihad. IAF video from the vicinity of the hospital before and after the terrorist group Islamic Jihad’s botched rocket launch,” the IDF tweet said.

The African Union, Hamas, and its supporters have accused Israel, which is presently carrying out airstrikes on the Palestinian terrorist group’s assets in Gaza, of being to fault for the incident. Israel has been blamed by Iran, Turkey, and Qatar for the explosion on Tuesday that killed up to 500 Palestinians.

The organization in charge of Gaza, Hamas, referred to the hospital attack as “a horrific massacre” carried out by Israeli troops. The Islamic Jihad, a Palestinian terrorist group distinct from Hamas, disputed Israel’s assertions and said that it was “trying hard to evade responsibility for the brutal massacre it committed.”

In the meanwhile, Moussa Faki Mahamat, the head of the African Union, issued a statement in which he stated, “There are no words to completely convey our outrage of Israel’s attack of a Gaza hospital today, which killed hundreds of people. It is a war crime to attack a hospital, which is regarded as a safe haven under international humanitarian law. The international community has to act quickly.
