In Pakistan, a suicide explosion strike claimed two lives: Report

A vehicle carrying foreign nationals was attacked by a suicide explosion assault in Karachi, Pakistan, on Friday, leaving at least two people dead, according to broadcaster Geo News.

When the vehicle was assaulted in the Sindh area of Pakistan, five Japanese nationals were inside. The report said that all five of the foreign passengers in the car escaped the assault, but two terrorists—including the suicide bomber—were slain.

According to the police, the terrorists on bikes targeted the vehicle. Sounds of gunfire were also audible. They said that at the murder site, a bag containing Kalashnikov rifles and grenades was discovered.

“Everyone—the five Japanese, was safe. But the private security guard that was accompanying them suffered injuries, according to PTI, citing Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East Azfar Mahesar.

He stated, “The Japanese nationals were traveling from their home in Zamzama, Clifton, to the Export Processing Zone.”

Authorities claimed, “A suicide jacket and a grenade are tied to the terrorist’s body,” and said that a bomb disposal squad had arrived at the scene.
