Israel Executes Largest Raid in Ramallah, West Bank; Palestinian Teenager Killed, Numerous Arrested

Israel’s Operation in the West Bank: The State Bank of India (SBI) has petitioned the Supreme Court to extend the deadline for providing the Election Commission of India with information on election bonds, with an extension till June 30.

In its plea, SBI said that it needs more time to provide information on electoral bonds that political parties have cashed in.

A 16-year-old Palestinian boy was slain by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry on Monday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are said to have launched their “biggest raid into the city in years” overnight, storming into the Palestinian administrative capital.

The Palestinian Health Ministry named the 16-year-old kid Mustafa Abu Shalbak. It was reported that Israeli troops shot and killed Mustafa Abu Shalbak during their assault on the Amari refugee camp in Ramallah.

According to an Al Jazeera report quoting witnesses, Shalbak was shot in the neck and chest by IDF troops after altercations that broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinian protestors over the operation.

After being taken to the Palestine Medical Complex, he was pronounced dead.

Press Service According to Reuters, which cited witnesses, Israeli soldiers overnight moved dozens of military vehicles into Ramallah, which serves as the administrative center of the Palestinian Authority, which is headed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

A prominent thoroughfare in the West Bank city of Tulkarm was destroyed by Israeli soldiers during a raid, according to Reuters.

Israeli soldiers also reportedly raided the West Bank city of Nablus and demolished a home, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The home is purportedly owned by a guy who is charged with carrying out an assault in the occupied Palestinian area in April that resulted in the deaths of a British-Israeli mother and her two kids.

Israel accused the guy, Moaz al-Masri, of being assassinated by IDF forces in May of last year.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society, meanwhile, said that during nighttime searches, Israeli soldiers detained 55 Palestinians, bringing the total number of arrests since the start of the conflict to over 7,400.

The arrest operation, according to a statement from the Palestinian group, was focused on the Hebron governorate, where close to two dozen Palestinians were held.

Since then, there has been a sharp increase in violence in the occupied West Bank.

On October 7, terror assaults in southern Israel by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas set off the current conflict in Gaza.

According to Reuters, at least 400 Palestinians have died in the West Bank as a result of fighting between Israeli settlers and forces,, as well as frequent incursions by IDF troops across the Palestinian areas it seized in 1967.
