Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, faces consequences for wearing a police uniform

The petitioner claimed that no action was taken against Maryam Nawaz in spite of her request to the police.
The petitioner pleaded with the court to give him directions on how to lodge a complaint against Punjab’s chief minister, Maryam Nawaz.

The court continued the case’s hearing until April 29, according to ARY News.
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz made headlines when she attended a police passing-out ceremony in Lahore while donning the uniform.
According to ARY News, the Punjab chief minister gave the Police Training College’s exceptional performers a guard of honor and prizes.
Notably, Maryam Nawaz, the candidate of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has become the first female chief minister of Punjab, making history. With 220 votes, she defeated Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) candidate Rana Aftab Ahmad, who earned 0 votes since SIC members boycotted the poll.
Under the leadership of recently elected Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan, opposition members of the Sunni Ittehad Council abstained from the Punjab Assembly session.
According to ARY News, Speaker Khan stated that there would only be elections for the position of chief minister and that no MPs would be allowed to speak during the session.
