North India is rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale

Pakistan’s capital of Islamabad serves as the epicentre of today’s earthquake. Additionally, the earthquakes were felt in Jammu and Kashmir, more strongly in Doda, and to a lesser degree in the neighbouring Indian and Pakistani provinces of Punjab. At 1:35 PM in the afternoon, there were vibrations. It’s possible that the earthquake began at a depth of 60 kilometres.

When they felt the tremors, many of people instantly left their houses. Additionally, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Ropar, Jalandhar, Amritsar, and Shimla experienced earthquakes.

The instant the earthquakes started, a salesperson from Amritsar said, “I saw fans moving violently and I and about 15 other people in the showroom immediately ran out.”
