Officials report that a drone strike from Ukraine has left a Russian oil storage in flames

MOSCOW: Russian officials said on Thursday that a Russian oil store in the Kursk area, close to the border between the two nations, was set on fire by a Ukrainian drone strike during the night.
Roman Starovoit, the regional governor, asked the people of the area to maintain their “calm” while posting on social media that there were no injuries.

Starovoit said on Telegram, “Fire has broken out in an oil depot following a Ukrainian drone attack in the Kursk region.”
In recent months, Ukraine has increased its drone and missile strikes on Russian territory, focusing mostly on Russia’s military and energy facilities.
Both sides have launched regular drone and missile assaults against one another ahead of February 24, the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion against its neighbor.
