Zelensky: Ukraine to Receive Biggest Military Aid Package Ever From the UK
Kyiv: President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has announced that the country will shortly receive $419 million—the biggest military assistance package ever—from Britain.
He made the announcement on Tuesday via Telegram after a phone call with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The shipment will include Storm Shadow and other missile kinds, as well as ammunition, hundreds of armored vehicles and boats, and more.
Xinhua quoted Zelensky as saying that the two leaders also reviewed marine and long-range capabilities as part of their bilateral defense cooperation.
The United Kingdom is one of the top contributors to the Ukrainian government; since February 2022, the country has promised about 12 billion pounds in aid, with 7.1 billion going for military aid, as reported by the British Parliament.
