9.8L pilgrims attended six Shaktipeeths in the state during Navratras

Approximately 9.8 lakh worshippers attended the state’s six Shaktipeeths between April 9 and 16, coinciding with the present Chaitra Navratri festival.

Over 3.83 lakh worshippers visited Mata Bala Sundari Temple in Sirmaur district; 2.48 lakh worshippers visited Maa Chintpurni Temple in Una district; 1.65 lakh visited Naina Devi Temple in Bilaspur district; 93,600 visited Jawalamukhi Temple; 58,100 visited Chamunda Devi Temple; and 32,830 worshipped at Brajeshwari Devi Temple in Kangra district, according to data released by the Himachal Pradesh Police.

During the specified time, 88,839 vehicles—47,155 two-wheelers, 37,506 light motor vehicles, and 4,178 heavy motor vehicles—visited these regions.

According to Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu, the Police Department has taken the necessary steps to protect devotees’ safety and uphold the state’s law and order.
