At the Vontimitta temple, Lord Rama in Venugana Alankaram blesses followers

On the second day of the current Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Brahmotsavams in Vontimitta in the Annamayya area, Lord Sri Rama, dressed as Venugana Alankaram, offered His followers darshan along the temple’s four Mada streets.

On Thursday morning, as groups of artists adorned the procession with vibrant “chekka” bhajana and kolatams, the Lord was carried in a majestic parade through the streets, showering worshippers.

A Snapana Tirumanjanam ritual was place at the shrine thereafter. While doing Abhishekam, this involved offering milk, curd, honey, turmeric, coconut water, and sandalwood paste to the Utsava Murthies.

The procession included participation from Temple inspector Naveen, superintendent Hanumanthaiah, Temple deputy EO Natesh Babu, and others.

A large Muthyala Talambaralu procession was organized in Tirupati on Thursday in honor of Sri Sitaram Kalyanam at Sri Kodanda Ramalayam.

The pearls were presented to Temple Chief Priest Sri Ananda Kumara Dikshitulu in a parade on elephant-drawn equipment, known as the “Mutyala Talambralu.”

Theertha Katta Street, Gandhi Road, Sri Govindarajaswami Temple, Dakshina Mada Street, and Bazaar Street were all used by the procession to get to the temple.
