Devaras: Returning home

Not all restaurants employ recipes passed down through the generations. However, the modest Andhra home cuisine remained the Devarsetty family’s signature dish when they established Devaras in Dubai in July of last year. Their first location in India has now launched.

Cuisine: Try the neer dosa, which is served with a mixture of shredded coconut and jaggery, even though the menu has traditional South Indian dishes like idli and vada. The dosa’s tender texture will undoubtedly melt in your tongue. Another option is the Ghee Red Miripudi Dosa, which includes onions and miripudi within and is crispy on the exterior. Before being flung into the tava, the Gangala dosa is steamed and served with a brinjal sauce. But it’s an acquired taste, so not everyone will like it. Don’t miss the Avakai rice, which is rice combined with Andhra Pradesh’s renowned mango pickle. It will undoubtedly hit the correct tone. The Palkova bun, a standard bun filled with a khova and jaggery mixture, is the ideal sweet finish. Don’t leave without tasting it.

Service: The prompt and effective service. In the spacious, open kitchen, you can see as your cuisine is cooked.

Décor: The design is all on minimalistic elegance, with huge custom-made wallpaper and pastel colors. The wall design incorporates images of peacocks, elephants, temples, and the natural world.

Price: A dinner for two would set you back around Rs 250. The cuisine is decently priced. The full set thali is priced at Rs 120.
