LPU’s yearly festival features Indian culture as the main attraction

Once its yearly big cultural extravaganza, “One India-2024,” got underway, the LPU campus was converted into a colorful domain of Indian culture and tradition. Students from throughout the nation showed the beauty of their own states in an astounding demonstration of equality, diversity, and inclusiveness during the festival’s 12th edition.

There were performances of many Indian dances, music, ceremonies, and customs. A look into rich history, art, and cuisines was offered by 29 exhibition booths in the festival’s remarkable lineup of events. The wide variety of things that were on display captivated the crowd. There were also 29 folk music and dance performances throughout the festival.

The festival, which continued the theme of “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity,” sought to honor the wonderful Indian ideology that unites the country. Students from all around India attended the event, representing their states and working together with colleagues from other areas. More than 4,000 LPU students gave speeches at the occasion. During the event, international students from over 40 countries collaborated with their Indian counterparts.

At the festival’s opening, Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal commended everyone for preserving India’s variety and generosity. He exhorted pupils to join for the sake of their neighborhood, nation, and global society. Additionally, a department-wide art show called “Abhivykati” was organized, including unique works from many departments.

The English department showcased creative poems, comics, slogans, and more; the fine arts department displayed artwork in a variety of formats; the architecture department showcased handcrafted pieces with a range of textures; the fashion department unveiled gowns for various events; the hotel management department served up delectable treats, and so on. Additionally, students performed in Odissi, Sattriya, Bhangra/Giddha, Garba, Kathak, Kathakali, and Bharatanatyam.
