Results for JEE-Mains 2024 released: Two female applicants are among the 56 who get 100 NTA scores

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE0Main) 2024 on Wednesday night. A total of 56 students, including two females, received 100 NTA scores.

The largest number of applicants hailing from Telangana achieved perfect marks.

Two girls were among the top scorers: Shayna Sinha from Delhi and Sanvi Jain from Karnataka.

Telangana has posted the highest percentage of applicants who achieved a 100 percentile in the JEE Main test for the third year running.

Fifteen applicants from the southern state received a perfect score of 100 on the NTA. The previous time, it was 11.

After this come Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, each with seven pupils at the 100 percentile. Two applicants from Maharashtra and five from Andhra received 100 NTA last year. Delhi, with six candidates, was in third place.

40 winners were from the general category, 10 from the OBC group, and 6 from the Gen-EWS category. The SC and ST categories do not have any candidates.

The combined results of paper 1 (BE/BTech) from the January and April sessions were released by the NTA. Twenty-three pupils achieved the hundredth NTA score in the initial sessions.

The exam was taken by 1067959 students in total. Currently, 250,284 applicants are eligible to take the JEE (Advanced) exam.

About 39 applicants who used fraudulent methods in the engineering entrance test had their eligibility to take JEE-Main restricted for three years.

Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other government supported technical institutes provide engineering programs, and admission to these programs is determined by the results of the JEE (Main) exam.

It also acts as the JEE (Advanced) baseline eligibility criterion. which will start accepting registrations on Sunday.

test appearance is restricted to applicants who fulfill the NTA’s cut-off for the JEE (Advanced) test based on their JEE (Main) performance.
