90 candidates will be decided by voters in three M’wada seats today

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: When these constituencies vote on Friday, ninety candidates from the Marathwada seats of Hingoli, Parbhani, and Nanded will be hoping for political victory.

In this area, there are up to 34 contenders from Parbhani, 33 from Hingoli, and 23 from Nanded. In the arena are Vasant Chavan (Nanded), Sanjay Jadhav (Parbhani), and Nagesh Patil Ashtikar (Hingoli) from the MVA camp and Pratap Patil Chikhalikar (Nanded), Mahadev Jankar (Parbhani), and Baburao Kadam Kohalikar (Hingoli) from the Mahayuti camp.

Over 58 lakh voters may cast ballots at the roughly 2,000 polling places that have been set up in each of the three seats.

The India Meteorological Department reports that while Nanded is predicted to enjoy dry weather on Friday, the Parbhani and Hingoli districts may see thunderstorms or light showers.

Young voters have been urged to cast ballots by Nanded district collector Abhijeet Raut, particularly those who live outside the constituency or are attending school in another city.

1,359 of the 2,062 polling places in the Nanded seat have webcast capabilities. To keep an eye on the webcast, the district collectorate has established a dedicated central cell. Additionally, cars transporting employees and other equipment are equipped with GPS systems to track their movements, Raut said.

The 2019 LS election had the highest voter participation in Hingoli, at 67%, followed by Nanded (66%) and Parbhani (63%).

Dist. Collector of Hingoli, Jitendra Papalkar, said that there is no need to be concerned about the IMD prediction of thunderstorms or light rain.

“The majority of our polling places are located in fixed structures. Severe weather occurrences tend to occur in remote locations rather than throughout a wide geographic area. In addition, he said, “rain and thunderstorms will provide relief from the summer heat and may even contribute to higher voter turnout.”
