A cadre of the BJP puts pressure on the opposition after it selects two candidates

The National Conference (NC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Congress are now discussing the conditions of their alliance and are under pressure from party cadres. The BJP has declared two of its candidates from the Jammu division.

According to information obtained, the Congress is pressuring the NC to allow the PDP to run for two seats in the Jammu area and one in the Anantnag district. All three of the Kashmiri seats are currently held by MPs from the NC. Under the partnership, the NC has been invited to run for the seats in Srinagar and Baramulla.

The Congress is under pressure since the saffron party has already begun preparing for the Lok Sabha elections. If an agreement is reached, it is anticipated that Congress will declare the conditions of the partnership in two to three days.

The delay in announcing an alliance in J&K stems from the NC’s initial insistence on running for all three of Kashmir’s seats: Srinagar, Baramulla, and Anantnag. Nonetheless, the PDP’s interest in running from Anantnag led to a rift-like state among the opposition parties. Should these parties choose to run on their own, the BJP stands to gain directly from the split of voters.

The two-time Lok Sabha election winners, Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma, have already been named by the saffron party as their respective candidates for the Udhampur and Jammu constituencies. Even though the poll’s date has not yet been revealed, the party has begun campaigning in each of these seats in order to prepare for the vote.

According to Congress insiders, the party will probably run an alliance with Udhampur and Jammu. It is expected that an understanding will be struck wherein the NC will run from Srinagar and Baramulla and the PDP from Anantnag. According to reports, the NC is expected to run from the INDIA bloc in Ladakh as well, earning three seats from both J&K and Ladakh. There is currently just one LS seat in Ladakh, held by the BJP.

In addition to negotiating an alliance with the NC and PDP, the Congress has also instructed party members to prepare for the next elections. In terms of electoral preparation, the party is also relentlessly hammering the BJP, which is in first gear.

During a workers’ conference in Jammu on Monday, Congress-working president Raman Bhalla said, “Every section of the society is suffering due to the wrong policies of the BJP.” The hardest affected are the people of Jammu & Kashmir. The people of J&K have been deprived of employment and land by the BJP-led Central Government, which downgraded the state from a complete state to a Union Territory.

Raina dismisses the J&K alliance

For the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in J&K, BJP president for the region Ravinder Raina has ruled out forming an alliance. According to him, the BJP is prepared to run for each of the UT’s five Lok Sabha seats.
Prior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Kashmir rally, Raina claims that the large-scale gathering in Srinagar is anticipated to draw at least 2 lakh participants.
