A car crash claims the lives of two laborers

A father and son were killed in a car collision on the Tarn Taran-Khadoor Sahib route here on Saturday night. The accident at Pandori Gola village was caused by a stray animal that was wandering on the road.

Residents of Bath village Sonu (40) and his son Punit Singh (23), have been identified as the dead. Both came from low-income families and were employed as laborers.

Both were riding Punit Singh’s motorbike from Tarn Taran to their village in Bath after finishing their duties. They were riding their motorbike when a stray animal unexpectedly emerged on the road and struck them as they got close to Pandori Gola village. Punit Singh crashed the motorbike into a roadside tree after losing control of it. Both died instantly after suffering head injuries.

ASI Sukhdev Singh led a police team that arrived at the location. According to the ASI, a complaint has been filed based on Kulwinder Kaur’s testimony, Sonu’s sister.
