A guy in Shakarpur stabbed his wife and brother-in-law to death

An official added that on Wednesday, a 30-year-old lady and her brother were discovered dead at their in-laws’ home in the Shakarpur neighborhood of East Delhi.

On Wednesday morning, the father-in-law of the dead wife found the siblings’ deaths in his home on Street No. 3 in Shakarpur. On the bed, the woman’s two-year-old kid was discovered sobbing.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apoorva Gupta revealed specifics of the double murder. She claimed that around 10.11 a.m., the Shakarpur Police station got a PCR call from a caller stating that there had been a fight and that someone was hurt.

When the police arrived on the site, they discovered the brothers had passed away. They were recognized as her brother Ram Pratap Singh (18), a Class 12 student, and Kamlesh Holkar (30), a teacher at a school in Ghaziabad. On the second story of a residential structure, both individuals were discovered in a bloody pool.

According to the DCP, Ram Pratap traveled from his hometown in Uttar Pradesh to Delhi to attend his nephew’s birthday celebration. “Based on preliminary evidence, it appears that Holkar and her spouse, Shreyansh Kumar Pal, had a disagreement on Tuesday evening, after which he fatally stabbed both his wife and her brother,” the officer said.

After going missing in the morning, the accused spouse Shreyansh joined the investigation and was taken into custody. The officer said, “He is being questioned.”

The officer went on to say that while the supposed Shreyansh is an engineer, he is not presently working. His mother works for the Delhi electricity department, while his father is a former member of the Indian Air Force. According to the police, Pal’s younger brother, his wife, and their kids reside on the first floor of the same building.

The senior officer said that there were several inconsistencies in the family members’ accounts and that there is a possibility that the crime scene has also been altered. She said that family members, including the suspected spouse, are being questioned by the detectives.

Multiple police teams are working on the case and watching local CCTV cameras to look for evidence, according to another official with knowledge of the investigation. The officer said, “Teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory and the crime scene were also called to the scene to gather the evidence.”
