A motorcycle rider in Kolhapur city gets injured after a tree falls on their bike during a downpour

Kolhapur: On Wednesday night, for about thirty minutes, there was a lot of rain in the city and other areas of the district, which gave the locals much-needed respite from the intense heat.

A warning of what was to come was given to the people by thunder and strong winds. A tree that was uprooted by the weather also fell on a two-wheeler close to the city’s Jain Boarding neighborhood.

An advisory had previously been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for Wednesday evening’s thunderstorm, which was expected to bring light to moderate rains with gusty gusts and lightning.
At 6:15 p.m., the rain also caused power outages in a few areas of the city, and it took until late at night to restore the supply.
The rain also had an impact on the arrangements for Rathotsav, the Goddess Mahalaxmi Palanquin procession. A follower named Shantanu Jategaonkar said, “The devotees’ drawn Rangolis werehed out by the showers.” However, we are back on track and ready to go again.
