AAP-ED fight sparked by Delhi CM’s “diet” regimen: four eggs and mangoes

CM Arvind Kejriwal was purposefully consuming mangoes and other high-carb foods to elevate his blood sugar level, the ED said a court on Thursday in an effort to support his bail request.

But according to the AAP, CM Arvind Kejriwal has not received insulin from the government for 28 days, which raises grave worries about his health. Despite being on an insulin reversal regimen, the party said that Kejriwal’s medication was suddenly stopped after his detention, leading to a concerning rise in his blood sugar level, which has already reached as high as 300.

The court scheduled a hearing for this Friday after requesting a medical report from the administrators of Tihar Jail.

Speaking at a news conference, Atishi said that regarding Kejriwal’s intake of tea laced with sugar, candies, and bananas, the ED had mislead the court. According to Atishi, “chocolate, toffee, and bananas are always advised to keep with them for an emergency.”

According to Delhi BJP head Virendra Sachdeva, the chief minister is raising his blood sugar levels because he knows that the evidence is against him and that it would be impossible for him to get bail via the regular channels.

A letter asking for nutritional advice for Kejriwal was one of the papers that the ED brought before the court. In documents presented before Rouse Avenue Court’s special judge Rakesh Syal on Thursday, the ED said that since April 2, Kejriwal has been eating a lot of sugar- and carb-containing items.

According to ED, the diet plan that was revealed consists of, among other things, two bananas, four eggs, sweetened tea, and Namkeen Bhujiya as a snack for breakfast. Rice, potatoes, tea, and often eaten fruits—including mangoes—make up lunch.
