According to Anna Hazare, Kejriwal was arrested “because of his own deeds; he once raised voice against liquor, and now he is making policies.”

Social activist Anna Hazare expressed his displeasure on Wednesday that Arvind Kejriwal, “who used to once work with him and raise his voice against liquor, was now making policies” in response to the chief minister of Delhi’s incarceration in the excise policy issue.

Declaring that his actions led to his detention, he went on to say, “Nothing works in front of power, everything will happen as per law.”

Kejriwal has been the target of Hazare’s criticism on previous occasions. Ever since their 2012 disagreement over Kejriwal’s political plummet, Hazare has been critical of the Delhi chief minister.

“I hope no Kejriwal comes out of my movement again,” Hazare had said.

Hazare accused Kejriwal of being “drunk on power” and not being “a man of his words” in a scathing letter.

The ED detained AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday in connection with an excise policy issue.
