After missing the Rahul Gandhi Yatra, Akhilesh Yadav said, “All is well that ends well.”

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party and a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, denied any disagreement with the Congress on Wednesday and reaffirmed their intention to form an alliance with them for the next Lok Sabha elections.

Akhilesh Yadav told reporters that everything would be resolved quickly and that there is no disagreement (with the Congress).

“Yes, an alliance is planned. There’s no disagreement. Everything will shortly be made plain. When reporters questioned Yadav about missing Rahul Gandhi’s yatra, he said, “Everything is good that ends well.

Akhilesh Yadav was extended an invitation by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge earlier this month to participate in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and share the platform with Rahul Gandhi on February 16 during a public rally at National Inter College in Chandauli’s Saiyadraja.

But when the Yatra came into Uttar Pradesh earlier this month, Yadav passed on it. According to his party, he won’t join the yatra until a seat-sharing arrangement has been worked out.

Sources claim that the Samajwadi Party had already made an offer to Congress for 11 seats in Uttar Pradesh. But instead of accepting the deal, the Congress demanded more seats.

The Samajwadi Party offered the Congress 17 seats after more talks, although it is said that the traditional party has not yet accepted.

According to reports, the parties were unable to agree on three seats: Ballia, Moradabad, and Bijnor.

The Samajwadi Party is reportedly unwilling to relinquish any of the three seats that the Congress is requesting, and as a result, the seat-sharing negotiations have come to a standstill.

According to the reports, the Congress party has requested 24 seats that it won in the general elections in 2009.
