After threatening to sue for their filthy conduct, two Nagpur police officers were arrested for robbing a couple

An official said on Monday that a complaint had been filed against two police constables in the Nagpur region of Maharashtra for allegedly robbing a student after threatening to file charges against him and his girlfriend for debaucherous actions, according to news agency PTI.

The police had previously filed a complaint against anonymous individuals acting as police officers, but an investigation found that two constables from Kalamna police station were implicated in the April 13 incident, according to a Wathoda police station official.

The engineering student and his girlfriend were reportedly stopped by the two accused Nagpur police officers, Pankaj Yadav and Sandip Yadav, as they were seated in a vehicle in a remote region of the Wathoda district at night, he told PTI.

The official said that one of the two Nagpur police officers physically assaulted the complainant after threatening to file a lawsuit for their involvement in lewd activities.

The complainant was compelled to surrender his gold chain, valued at Rs 2.10 lakh, by the two Nagpur police officers when they wanted Rs 1 lakh from him in order to prevent legal action, the source told PTI.

According to him, the constables engaged in the event were recognized by the police after reviewing the local CCTV video.

According to him, a complaint has been filed against the constables under sections 392 (robbery), 170 (who purports to hold any specific position as a public servant), and other pertinent parts of the Indian Penal Code.

In another incident, two package packets that arrived at the Nagpur-CMST Duronto Express on Tuesday included Rs 60 lakh in cash, according to an officer.

Following the train’s arrival, the Railway Protection Force checked the package at platform no. 17, according to an official.

“An RPF team discovered a suspicious package while checking, and they notified Government Railway Police officials.” After the package was opened, Rs 40 lakh was found inside, the source informed PTI.

He claimed that after discovering one more packet carrying Rs 20 lakh, police notified the Income Tax Department and began examining additional packages.

He also said that the I-T Department had received the cash.
