Ahead of the massive Ram Temple ceremony, PM Modi will open the renovated railway station and airport in Ayodhya today: Specifics

Updates on Narendra Modi’s visit to Ayodhya: About three weeks before the highly anticipated Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the temple town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, December 30, to inaugurate the Maharishi Valmiki international airport, the Ayodhya Dham railway station, and several other development projects worth ₹15,000 crore.

At 10.30 am, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to touch down at the Ayodhya airport, where his 16-kilometer tour would begin.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi will open the renovated Ayodhya railway station, also known as Ayodhya Dham railway station, at about 11:15 am and launch the new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains.

Additionally, Modi will devote a number of additional railway projects to the country. The recently constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya will be inaugurated by the prime minister at about 12:15 p.m.

Modi is scheduled to take part in a public event at about 1 pm, during which he will dedicate, honor the country, and lay the cornerstone for many development projects totaling over ₹15,700 crore in the state.
Approximately ₹11,100 crore of these projects are for the development of Ayodhya and its environs, while approximately ₹4,600 crore are for projects linked to other projects in Uttar Pradesh.
Other initiatives for development
Along with these initiatives, the prime minister will also start building a visitor gallery for Deepotsav events, renovating and fortifying the pilgrim path from Ram Ki Paidi to Raj Ghat and Raj Ghat to Ram Temple, and developing and beautifying tourist facilities from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat.

Ayodhya’s urban environment is expected to be significantly enhanced with the opening of the Vashishtha Kunj Residential Scheme, estimated to cost around ₹300 crore, and an ambitious greenfield township valued at ₹2,183 crore.

Modi will lay the cornerstone for a number of infrastructure projects, such as building the CIPET center, modifying the current Ayodhya bypass, building the Lucknow-Ayodhya section of NH-28 (new NH-27), and constructing offices for the Municipal Corporation Ayodhya and Ayodhya Development Authority.

Beyond Ayodhya, the development momentum will continue as Modi dedicates and inaugurates other important projects across Uttar Pradesh. These include the strengthening and upgrading of the Khutar to Lakhimpur section of NH-730, the four-lane widening of the Gosain Ki Bazar Bypass-Varanasi (Ghaghra Bridge-Varanasi) (NH-233), the capacity enhancement of the LPG plant in Trishundi, Amethi district, the 30 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant in Pankha and the 130 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant in Jajmau, Kanpur, the interception and diversion of drains and sewage treatment work in Unnao district, and the CETP for Tannery Cluster at Jajmau in Kanpur.

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport The PMO stated in a statement that Phase 1 of the cutting-edge Maharishi Valmiki International Airport was built at a cost of about ₹1,450 crore. The airport’s 6500 square meter terminal building will be able to accommodate around 10 lakh passengers a year.

The terminal building’s front is a representation of the Ayodhya temple architecture that will soon be constructed for Ram. The terminal building’s interiors are embellished with regional artwork, including murals and paintings that illustrate Lord Ram’s life. The Ayodhya Airport’s terminal building is outfitted with an array of amenities, including solar power plants, rainwater harvesting, LED lighting, insulated roofing, fountain landscaping, sewage treatment plants, and water treatment plants. It is anticipated that the airport would increase job possibilities, commercial activity, and tourism while also enhancing connectivity in the area.

Ayodhya Dham junction railway station, the first phase of the reconstructed Ayodhya railway station, is being developed at a cost above ₹240 crore. The three-story contemporary train station building has all the amenities of today, including waiting areas, cloakrooms, escalators, food plazas, stores for puja supplies, and elevators. The station building will be “green station building certified by IGBC” and “accessible for all.”

Train projects: Amrit Bharat, Vande Bharat, and others
Modi will launch the Amrit Bharat Express, a new class of superfast passenger trains in the nation, at the event at the Ayodhya Dham junction railway station. The Amrit Bharat train is an LHB push-pull train with carriages that do not have air conditioning. There are locos on each end of this train to improve acceleration. Improved amenities for train travelers include well-designed seats, better baggage racks, LED lighting, CCTV, public information systems, and mobile charging stations with appropriate holders. Additionally, the PM will launch six brand-new Vande Bharat Express trains.

He will officially open two new Amrit Bharat trains: the Malda Town-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express and the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express.

Additionally, Modi will launch six brand-new Vande Bharat Express trains on this special day. These include the Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express, the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, the Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, the Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express, and the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express.

In order to improve the region’s train infrastructure, the prime minister will also donate three railway projects totaling ₹2,300 crore to the country. The projects include the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project; the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project; the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section; and the Jaunpur-Tulsi Nagar, Akbarpur-Ayodhya, Sohawal-Patranga, and Safdarganj-Rasauli sections.

When Modi gets to Ayodhya, he will be greeted by a variety of national artist organizations.

More than 1,400 performers will showcase traditional art and cultural programs on 40 stages erected along the Ram Path, the road that runs from the airport to the railway station, according to a statement from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s office.

The statement claims that Mohit Mishra from Kashi would beat a Damru, and Vaibhav Mishra from Ayodhya will blow conches to greet the prime minister on the grounds of Ramlala.

Awadhi and Vantangiya art styles will be presented by several artists. Sahaj Singh Shekhawat of Gorakhpur will perform the Vantangiya dance, while Brajesh Pandey of Sultanpur and Ragini Mitra of Noida will showcase the Awadhi traditional dance.
