Amit Shah releases the Madhya Pradesh BJP government’s “Report Card,” claiming that it has removed the BIMARU label from the state

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, on Sunday unveiled the Madhya Pradesh government’s “report card” for the years 2003 to 2023. He said that during this time the BJP government effectively eliminated the BIMARU category (laggard) label from the state, which he claimed was a legacy of the Congress administration.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the MP BJP president, Narottam Mishra, and Shah all attended the event in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, when Shah delivered the government’s “report card” for the previous 20 years.

This year’s end is when MP’s assembly elections are scheduled.Sh

In order to suggest that Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh fell behind other states in terms of economic development, health care, and other metrics, the abbreviation BIMARU has often been used to refer to these states.

“Madhya Pradesh came into existence in 1956, and from that time until 2003, Congress ruled the state, except for five to six years, during which the state remained BIMARU,” said Shah.

However, he said, “by putting the state on the road of development and adopting numerous social initiatives, the BJP administration has effectively removed the state from the BIMARU designation.

The top BJP official requested that the opposition Congress provide a report card on their almost 53-year reign over the state.

Shah also provided statistics to support the claim that Madhya Pradesh is now one of the nation’s most developed states and complimented CM Chouhan on his accomplishment.

Power, water, and roads were all subpar in the state under the Congress administration, but under the BJP, things have drastically improved, he said.
