An angry BJP guy in Tamil Nadu slashes his own finger, saying that Annamalai would lose

While campaigning in Coimbatore on Wednesday, a BJP official from the Cuddalore district reportedly heard someone say that K Annamalai, the state president of the party, would not win the election. As a result, the official chopped his index finger.

K Durai Ramalingam, 53, a former Kurinjipadi Sub-Inspector of Police, is the BJP Cuddalore unit’s deputy president. For the last ten days, he has been in Coimbatore doing a campaign for Annamalai.

He got into a fight about Annamalai’s chances of winning with an unnamed individual outside Hope College on Wednesday night, during the last round of campaigning.

He was purportedly informed by the individual that Annamalai would not prevail. Distressed by it, Ramalingam entered a neighboring vegetable store, grabbed a knife, and cut his left index finger.

He was admitted right away to a Peelamedu private hospital.

According to sources, Ramalingam did not take the severed portion to the hospital, which is why he lost the top portion of his finger. Ramalingam said that he will see his defeat as a party sacrifice. After leaving the police force voluntarily ten years ago, Ramalingam joined the BJP.

“We wouldn’t allow him to fail. I sliced my finger on the party out of devotion. I haven’t heard from any leader to inquire about my well-being. However, I’ll keep working for the BJP,” he said.
