As the state’s Lok Sabha election campaign heats up, it’s Rahul vs. Pinarayi in Kerala

With just one week remaining before the state’s Lok Sabha election, the UDF and the Left Front stepped up their campaigns, pitting Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan against Congressman Rahul Gandhi.

The chief minister responded angrily to Rahul’s vicious attack on Pinarayi, accusing him of “not speaking against BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi” and focusing only on him during his campaigns. He said the LDF does not require a certificate from the Congress to oppose the RSS and Modi’s anti-people policies.

According to Pinarayi, the BJP is carrying out the RSS program via the CAA, and the national Congress has done little to thwart the RSS plan. Rahul, he added, need to clarify whether the Kerala branch of the Congress was instructed by the national leadership to abstain from anti-CAA demonstrations.

Speaking at UDF’s campaign events in Kannur and Palakkad, Rahul questioned why the central authorities haven’t yet looked into Pinarayi. In this nation, two chief ministers have previously been imprisoned for opposing the BJP regime. I wonder why Pinarayi has not yet been charged with anything if he opposes the BJP. Why did he avoid going to jail? I’m being attacked by the CM around-the-clock. Rahul said, “His approach is really surprising.”

It’s amazing to me that the BJP isn’t making any kind of personal assault on your chief minister. He has not been summoned for questioning (by the central authorities) for a single minute, and no one has taken away his home or his Vidhan Sabha membership. Therefore, it’s a little strange that the BJP would be so happy with Pinarayi if he is opposing them. Rahul pondered.

“The investigative authorities in this nation would undoubtedly pursue anybody who criticizes the BJP. Pinarayi claims he is fighting the BJP in an ideological war. Rahul expressed his amazement at the lack of action taken by the ED in Kerala against Pinarayi.

Speaking at a UDF campaign event in Palakkad, Rahul said that while he criticizes the BJP in every state he visits, the chief minister of Kerala never stops criticizing him. He says nothing negative about the BJP at all. Rahul said during the gathering, “I just wanted to leave that for you to think about.” ~

Congress does not need a certificate for LDF to fight RSS, according to Pinarayi

Citing their lack of action to counter the BJP-led NDA, Pinarayi harshly criticized Rahul and other UDF and Congress leaders. “Those questioning why the CM is not speaking against Modi and the BJP are the ones leading the same party that sponsored LS five candidates for the NDA in Kerala,” Pinarayi remarked, addressing journalists on Thursday in Malappuram. The Congress license is not required for the LDF to fight the RSS and Modi’s anti-people policies. We shouldn’t be lecturing those who burned candles in front of Golwalkar’s picture and won votes by appealing to the RSS.

Speaking at K S Hamsa’s LDF campaign rally in Ponnani, Pinarayi said that the Congress had failed to stop the BJP from carrying out the RSS agenda via the CAA. “In 2019, CPI general secretary D Raja, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, Brinda Karat, and Prakash Karat were detained during demonstrations against the CAA. Which Congress lawmakers are listed as arrested on that list? According to Rahul Gandhi, Keralans are criticizing the Congress. However, the Congress need to respond to my query. Has anybody seen any congressional leaders at that point in the CAA protests? Why did Congressmen avoid the demonstrations? He stated.

“With the exception of Kerala, the Congress has not demonstrated against the CAA. Therefore, the Kerala Congress leadership must have been urged to abstain from the protest by the party’s national leadership. In Kerala, Rahul Gandhi is doing campaigns. He had to respond to the question of whether the Congress’s national leadership instructed the party in Kerala to abstain from anti-CAA demonstrations, Pinarayi said.

According to Pinarayi, the BJP is starting to gain members in Kerala from the Congress, and there are still a lot of UDF leaders waiting to join the party in the state.

He said that the people will vote in the Lok Sabha election against the scheming Congress, which never takes a stance on issues that impact the people. “The Union government’s financial policies and the CAA were not strongly opposed by the Congress. The LDF, which has made strong statements on several subjects, and the UDF, which is hesitant to make strong statements on issues that directly impact Keralans, are at odds in Kerala, the speaker said. After this election, Pinarayi said, the NDA—which now has the third-place vote in the state—will no longer be relevant.
