Bengali school positions ordered to be “illegal” by the Calcutta High Court will be challenged: Banerjee Mamata

The Calcutta High Court’s judgment canceling all appointments made via a 2016 teacher recruitment exam was referred to as “illegal” by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday. She also said that her administration will appeal the decision.

During an electoral rally in Raiganj, North Bengal, Banerjee further said that officials of the Bharatiya Janata Party were influencing certain judges’ decisions.

“It is unlawful for the court ruling to invalidate all recruitments. We support people who lost their employment. We’ll see to it that you get justice and take the order to a higher court, she said.

Declaring the State Level Selection Test-2016 (SLST) recruitment process “null and void,” the Calcutta High Court on Monday ordered the revocation of all appointments made via it in West Bengal government-sponsored and aided institutions.
