Bengaluru Shocker: 70-Year-Old Woman’s Chopped Body Found in a Drum; Hands and Legs Missing

In Bengaluru’s KR Puram neighborhood, a 70-year-old woman’s mutilated corpse was discovered in a drum on Sunday. After that, the drum was thrown next to an abandoned home on an empty lot.

According to NDTV, the dead, Sushilamma, and her daughter were residing in a leased apartment in Nisarga Layout, a neighborhood of KR Puram.

The woman shared a home with her daughter and two or three other family members. Raman Gupta, Additional Commissioner East, was cited as adding, “All their relatives live nearby.”

Locals complained about a stink coming from that location, and that’s when police discovered the corpse. According to further authorities, the woman’s limbs and legs—which the accused severed—remain missing.

The Additional Commissioner went on to say that he and other senior officials are investigating the crime scene and that the event may have happened on Saturday.

He declared that the authorities would conduct the required investigation and said that they are aggressively pursuing the case with the goal of apprehending the accused as soon as possible.

Several similar cases of graphic and horrible murder were made public last year. The murder on Mira Road in Mumbai was one of the scariest of them all.

In June of last year, on Mira Road, a 36-year-old lady was reportedly slain by her live-in spouse and cut into “several pieces.”

Sources informed News18 that while 13 body parts were discovered at the accused’s home, he disposed of other parts after chopping them into many pieces. The accused also allegedly “boiled body parts in cooker” to ensure there was no stench.

Manoj Sahani, the 56-year-old accused, was apprehended while attempting to escape his leased flat. For the previous three years, he had shared an apartment (704 at J wing of Geeta Akash Deep building in Geeta Nagar Phase 7) with the victim, Sarawasti Vaidya.

The Delhi Police retrieved a woman’s corpse in July that had been cut into many parts close to the Geeta Colony flyover region.

According to the Director General of Police in North Delhi, the body parts were discovered at two distinct locations close to the Geeta Colony flyover in the Janmuna Khadar neighborhood.

A 28-year-old laborer is accused of killing his wife by strangulation in September and dismembering her corpse before throwing it into a canyon in the Ganjam district of Odisha’s Rushikulya River.

He was apprehended subsequent to his mother-in-law filing a formal complaint against him at the Kodala police station.

“The accused strangled his wife to death and carried her body to the gorge, chopped it into five pieces with an axe, and threw those into the river,” according to police, after a violent argument at their house on Wednesday night.

Police said that while the accused had admitted to the murder, they were still awaiting proof after the body pieces were found.
