BJP Leader Requests Assistance From EAM Jaishankar To Locate Missing Indian Student in the UK

In an effort to find the whereabouts of an Indian student called GS Bhatia, who has been missing from East London since December 15, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa asked S Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, for assistance on Saturday. Bhatia, a student at Loughborough University in the UK, was last saw at Canary Wharf, East London, on December 15.

In addition to pleading with Jaishankar to step in, Sirsa asked the University and the Indian High Commission to assist in finding the missing student.

“GS Bhatia, a Loughborough University student, has not been seen since December 15th. Last seen at East London’s Canary Wharf. bringing to London’s gracious notice to coordinate search and rescue activities for him. It is very important that you help. On X (previously Twitter), Manjinder Sirsa said, “Please share and spread the word.”

The event occurred a few days after a 23-year-old Indian student’s corpse was found in London’s Thames River. After traveling to London in September to pursue his graduate studies, Mitkumar Patel vanished on November 17.

Because Patel’s father was a small farmer, an appeal to collect money for him was also launched.

“On September 19, 2023, a 23-year-old lad named Mitkumar Patel arrived in the UK to pursue further education. He was from a farming family and had previously resided in a hamlet. As of November 17, 2023, he was gone. Police discovered his lifeless corpse in the sea off Canary Wharf on November 21. We were all depressed about it. Thus, we made the decision to raise money to support his family and transfer his corpse to India as well,” the fundraising request states.
