BJP mocks CM for attempting to get release due to illness

In an attempt to get release on medical grounds, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva expressed worries about the ED’s allegations that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is eating foods rich in sugar on a daily basis, including sweets and mangoes, while having Type 2 diabetes.

Sachdeva said that Kejriwal’s bail plea via conventional procedures is becoming more difficult due to the evidence against him. “It is alarming to learn about Kejriwal’s health during his incarceration. Sachdeva said, “His kilogram weight gain has raised eyebrows, hinting at a potential ploy to exploit his health for medical bail.”

“Kervinder Baillie has been ordering sweets and mangoes despite his condition, which seems like a deliberate attempt to elevate his blood sugar levels to strengthen his medical bail plea,” Sachdeva said.

He also offered his thoughts on Kejriwal’s supposed contradictory behavior, especially during the most recent Navratri celebration. “His reported consumption of eggs while in jail during Navratri casts doubt on his sincerity, even though he is promoting the ‘Ram Rajya’ website and portraying himself as a devoted follower of Lord Ram and Hanuman,” he added.

MP Manoj Tiwari added his voice to the outcry, expressing surprise at Kejriwal’s prison diet in light of his diabetes. Even at the expense of his health, Tiwari said, “it seems that Kejriwal is aware of the strength of the ED case against him and is eager to secure medical bail.”

He also questioned the Kejriwal government’s handling of the amenities at Tihar Jail in Delhi. “Considering the situation, it’s imperative that Kejriwal be moved to a jail outside of Delhi that is not run by the Aam Aadmi Party government, for the sake of both jail rules compliance and Chief Minister Kejriwal’s personal safety,” MP Tiwari said.
