BJP opposes women, claims Chauhan

Vice-president of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Naresh Chauhan said today that people were aware that the BJP leaders had approached the Election Commission to halt the Rs. 1,500 pension for women, and that they were just acting in the role of well-wishers for women. He said, “Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur should apologise to the people of the state for creating obstacles to women’s rights.”

Chauhan said that the state’s citizens have exposed the BJP. “BJP is anti-workers as well as anti-women. The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party ridiculed government workers for requesting old pensions and invited them to run for office. In contrast, the Congress administration reinstated the OPS at the first meeting, according to Chauhan.
