BJP vows to build three additional routes for bullet trains

In addition to extending the reach of new-age trains, the BJP manifesto, which was unveiled on Sunday, called for the construction of three more bullet train tracks throughout the nation.

The first corridor, which will link Ahmedabad and Mumbai, is virtually finished, and three other corridors’ survey work will soon start, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also unveiled the BJP’s Lok Sabha manifesto.

“We are building the nation’s first bullet train route. The BJP platform says, “We will start feasibility studies for bullet train corridors in North, South, and East India using the experience gained so far.”

In an attempt to win PM Modi a third term in a row, the saffron party claims that its administration has created and produced top-notch Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat trains.

If the BJP gets elected to a third term at the Centre, a number of railway projects have been given high priority in its platform. The manifesto, dubbed “Modi Ki Guarantee,” promised to build additional rails to increase capacity and facilitate freight movement. It states that 31,000 km of new railway lines have been erected in the previous ten years, and that starting in the third term of government, an additional 5,000 km would be added annually.

The BJP has promised to greatly enhance ticket availability by 2030, hence improving passenger carrying capacity, against the background of lengthy waitlists on trains. In addition, the BJP pledged to continue mission-mode growth of the Kavach train security system for the next five years. According to the PM, 1300 railway stations in large and medium-sized cities would be rebuilt to international standards, citing a passage from the manifesto.

In order to provide last mile connectivity, the manifesto committed to increasing the number of high frequency rail services for regional and metro networks in significant metropolitan areas. “We are going to introduce Vande Sleeper trains for a cozy overnight ride,” Modi said, tying in the introduction of Vande Bharat Metro by his administration.

We have put portions of the RRTS between Meerut and Delhi into service. To maintain reliable connection and link the regional economy, we want to extend these services even farther and initiate more regional connectivity initiatives in other significant cities.

The introduction of a Super App that would provide customers access to all train-related services was promised in the manifesto.
