Case of CMRL payoff: ED grills two additional people

As part of its investigation into the pay-off case involving Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned two individuals on Thursday.

About eleven in the morning, P Suresh Kumar, general manager of CMRL Finance, and Vasudevan, a former cashier, showed up to the ED headquarters to be questioned. The two were also questioned on Tuesday.

More authorities will get summonses from the ED in the next days. After his health improves, it also plans to examine S N Sasidharan Kartha, the company’s managing director, once again. On Wednesday, he was questioned at his Aluva home on his health issues.
