Ceremony for induction at Sirsa’s St. Xavier’s School

Sirsa: The oath-taking ceremony and colorful decorating of St. Xavier’s School in Sirsa were held for the new cabinet members for the 2024–25 school year. The main visitor was doctor and administrator of Sanjeevani Hospital, Anjani Agrawal.

The occasion started with a prayer. In order to motivate the students, Dr. Anjani told tales from her own life experience, emphasizing the value of discipline, hard work, and goal-setting. Father Evo Dias, the principal, commended the newly appointed cabinet and encouraged its members to strive for the betterment of the school.

Ashoka University workshop

Sonepat: Ashoka University conducted a workshop titled “Environmental Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Strategies and Implications.” For the purpose of monitoring antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in India, experts from a number of organizations—including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), and partners of the Alliance for Pathogen Surveillance and Innovation (APSI)—highlighted the urgent need for unified data systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Experts, academics, policymakers, and stakeholders from a variety of sectors convened for the workshop to discuss the many ways that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) affects an individual’s health and to devise practical countermeasures against its worsening.

GVM’s computer training workshop

Sonepat: GVM Girls College hosted a unique computer training course for pupils who have finished their schooling. Principal Manjula Spah and President OP Paruthi attended the function.

The chairman of the computer department, Rakesh Juneja, said that the institution was organizing a 15-day special workshop for female students who had finished Class XII. He also mentioned that the program included different forms of training aimed at helping the students become self-sufficient. They received introductory training on computers as well as current technology, including ChatGPT, cyber security, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, the Internet, and email.
