Chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman” resound across Hyd

On the festival of Hanuman Jayanti, hundreds of young people enthusiastically participated in the Veer Hanuman Vijay Yatra on Tuesday, sending chants of Jai Sri Ram and Jai Hanuman resonating through the city streets.

To get blessings, people flocked to many Hanuman temples located across the city. The parade, which began at Gowliguda Ram Mandir at midday and went through Koti, Sultan Bazaar, and Chikkadpally, was the primary event. An additional demonstration started at the Hanuman Mandir in Karmanghat, proceeded via Malakpet and Chadarghat, and eventually joined the main march at Koti Women’s College. As the procession moved across many lanes, people, including children, gathered on roofs and along the sides of the roadways to greet it.

Numerous organizations, including the Bajrang Dal sections in Hyderabad and Secunderabad and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, participate in the parade. At the Tadbund Veeranjaneya Swamy shrine, the yatra came to an end. Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh and BJP candidate Madhavi Latha for the Hyderabad seat participated in the procession from Gowliguda. DJs were playing religious music, and people of all ages, including kids, young adults, and the elderly, were spotted dancing to the music of the “teen mar” band.

Along the procession path, a number of volunteer organizations had put up platforms to greet the Shobha Yatra. The rally participants were given packages of soft drinks, buttermilk, and drinking water by a number of charitable organizations and people.

The Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), Commissioner’s Task Force, City Armed Reserve platoons, and Rapid Action Force were among the many security measures the police put in place for the procession routes. Near every institution of worship and other sensitive locations across the city, police pickets were erected.
