Cloudy skies but no rain, much to the farmers’ relief

Farmers were quite relieved when Ludhiana’s weather turned gloomy this afternoon and there was no rain.

Punjab Agricultural University’s (PAU) Department of Climate Change and Agricultural Meteorology reported a high temperature of 35.8°C and a low temperature of 25.6°C on Friday.

According to the Punjab Agricultural University’s (PAU) prediction, Ludhiana and the surrounding regions could continue to have gloomy weather over the next 24 hours, with the risk of thunderstorms.

Lopon village farmer Kulwinder Singh expressed his relief that Ludhiana did not get rain today. “Hopefully, the weather will stay clear so I can harvest my crop next week,” he said.

Experts have advised farmers not to water their wheat crop in the interim since rain may fall in the area and cause the grain to lodge.
