CM of Andhra Pradesh Establishes Foundation and Starts Power Projects Totaling Rs. 6,600 Cr.

On Tuesday, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, virtually inaugurated and laid the groundwork for many electricity projects totaling Rs 6,600 crore.

From his camp office, the chief minister inaugurated two Rs 3,400 crore solar power projects in Kadapa and Anantapur.

In addition, he dedicated 12 sub-stations valued at Rs 620 crore and lay the groundwork for 16 electricity sub-stations, totaling Rs 2,479 crore.

Speaking to state authorities, Reddy said, “We have inaugurated some of the 28 power sub-stations and laid the foundation for some more. Our aim is to enhance power supply in 14 districts at an outlay of Rs 3,099 crore.”

The Avera electric scooter firm, located in Vijayawada, lay the foundation stone for its Rs 100 crore expansion project.

Additionally, Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) have reached an agreement for a Rs 10,000 crore investment in the renewable energy sector.

Reddy saw the signing of a deal with HPCL that calls for the construction of a 500 MW solar power plant, a 500 MW wind energy facility, a 100 MW battery energy storage system, and a green hydrogen plant.

The CM claims that all of these eco-friendly initiatives would bring hundreds of employment to the state.
