“Congress government has not even protected Mahadev from corruption,” Nadda taunts the chief minister of Chhattisgarh

JP Nadda, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claimed on Sunday that the Congress government in Chhattisgarh had not even spared “Mahadev.” This seemed to be a reference to the Enforcement Directorate’s accusation that Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister, had received Rs 508 crore from the creators of the betting app Mahadev Book.

Nadda said that Congress leader Kamal Nath and the chief ministers of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh gather money for the Congress family while speaking at a public gathering in the state that is headed for elections on Sunday.

“They (the Congress administration) haven’t even spared Mahadev.” Power (‘Satta’) ke liye betting (‘Satta’). After being detained here, a man from Dubai claimed to have brought Rs 800 crore to offer to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Is this the kind of crooked government you want here? Three members of Congress family are collectors: Bhupesh Baghel, Ashok Gehlot, and Kamal Nath. They gather funds on their behalf. stated Nadda.

This was in response to state Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s criticism of the BJP for not banning the app earlier.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a similar statement against the Congress earlier on Saturday and demanded an answer on the ED’s claims about the Mahadev betting app.

“The chief minister, the Congress party, and their administration need to make clear how they are connected to the promoters of betting apps based in Dubai. PM Modi said, “Even the name ‘Mahadev’ was not spared from corruption.”

Asim Das, a person, was allegedly dispatched from the United Arab Emirates to supply a substantial sum of money for the governing Congress party in Chhattisgarh’s election costs. This was according to an earlier allegation made by the Enforcement Directorate.

The federal agency also said that Asim Das, the detained individual, admitted that the promoters of the Mahadev app had already paid the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Rs 508 crore.

The 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly will be elected in two stages. On November 7, polls for the first phase of 20 seats are planned, and on November 17, polls for the remaining 70 seats.

December 3 is when the votes are supposed to be counted.
