Congress Responds to BJP’s “Modi Ka Parivar” Campaign, Saying Saffron Party Is Disappointed With The Increasing INDIA Bloc

New Delhi: The Congress has publicly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party’s most recent social media-based advertising campaign, which is now garnering national notice. The “Modi Ka Parivar” campaign involves adding the phrase to one’s social media profile. Notably, a number of Union politicians have already joined the campaign, including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and Nitin Gadkari. The Congress has said that the action is a diversion from serious problems, particularly in light of the growing influence of the India grouping.

The Prime Minister’s true allies, according to the Congress, are individuals like business magnate Gautam Adani, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, and Ajay Mishra Teni. The BJP gathered support for Modi on Monday, the day after RJD chairman Lalu Prasad Yadav made fun of him for not having a family by adding “Modi Ka Parivar” (Modi’s family) to their names on social media pages.

Rahul Gandhi Crises “Asli Parivar of Modi”
Congressman Rahul Gandhi wrote on X, saying, “The country is being looted by Modi’s’real family; farmers are in debt, youths are unemployed, and laborers are helpless.” The hashtag “Modi ka asli parivar” was used by the Congress on social media, highlighting his connections to Adani. Gandhi also uploaded a photo of himself speaking in parliament and holding up an image of Modi and Adani on an aircraft.

When reporters questioned Congress national secretary K. C. Venugopal about the BJP campaign, he said, “You could see the enthusiasm among the public in Patna yesterday.” The India bloc is expanding daily, which irritates the BJP supporters. Later, Venugopal asked, “Do the women of Manipur find a place in Modi ka Parivar? in a post on X. Will the Prime Minister refer to the farmers demonstrating on Delhi’s borders as his Parivar? What about the jobless young people who are compelled to kill themselves every day? Could the PM please refer to them as his parivar? In actuality, this administration exclusively serves the interests of the PM’s allies, shields individuals who are charged with horrible crimes, and installs officials that they themselves denounce as dishonest. He said, “That is #ModiKaAsliParivar.”

Digvijaya Singh Lightly Criticizes BJP
Digvijaya Singh, a senior Congress politician, made fun of the BJP by remarking that “now they cannot talk about parivarvaad (nepotism).”.

“We are waiting for Upendra Rawat, Pawan Singh, & Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to add Modi Ka Pariwar to their bios,” said Pawan Khera, chairman of the Congress media department. A snapshot of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s X bio with the suffix “Modi Ka Parivar” appended was later published by Khera. Khera wrote on X, “Modi Ka Pariwar welcomes Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.”

Screenshots of Ajay Mishra Teni and Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s social media profiles were also posted by Congress national secretary Jairam Ramesh on X.

“This is Modi’s real family—killings of farmers, atrocities against women,” he said, perhaps alluding to claims that Teni’s son had harassed Singh sexually and had been mowing down farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri in 2021. “Modi ka asli parivar” is the hashtag that Ramesh used.

“Very notorious and deadly, this is ‘Modi Ka Parivar,'” said former Chhattisgarh deputy chief minister T S Singhdeo, posting the names of the BJP politicians accused of sexual harassment and economic criminals. Jitu Patwari, the president of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, said that the BJP’s beliefs are always shifting.

It used to be said that the nation came first, followed by the party, and lastly, the leader. It was the Modi Parivar before it was the Sangh Parivar.

He stated, “These are all false statements; they ought to explain in their personal ads why jobs are not available, why farmers are not receiving the MSP guarantee, and why Modi ought to promise to bring back the black money.” According to Patwari, they are engaging in money-power-driven media management.

Prominent Union Leaders Participate in the Campaign
Party members nationwide joined union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and BJP chief J P Nadda in announcing on social media that they were “Modi Ka Parivar” as the ruling party launched a savage counteroffensive against the opposition. Many social media users who support Modi also updated their biographies in the same way.

According to BJP national spokesman Sudhanshu Trivedi, opposition parties have been criticizing Modi personally and making similar “petty” comments for the last 16–17 years.

In the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has shown support for its top leader. This is reminiscent of a campaign the party ran before the 2019 general elections, in which it added the moniker “Main Bhi Chowkidar” to their names in an attempt to parody Gandhi’s “Chowkidar Chor Hai” jab at Modi.
