Congress Responds To The BJP’s “Clean Chit To China” About Encroachment, Saying “Making It Harder For…”

Tuesday saw the Congress accuse the Narendra Modi-led central government of handing Beijing the “clean chit” after Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that China was not allowed to intrude on “single inch” of land while the government was in power.

Every time the BJP “gives a clean chit” to the neighboring nation, Jairam Ramesh, general secretary of the Congress, said that the Modi-led central government “makes it harder” for India to cope with China’s unlawful invasion.

Congress’s chief communications officer, Jairam Ramesh, said in a post on X, “The Prime Minister stated at the all-party meeting on China on June 19, 2020, that not a single Chinese military had crossed the Indian border. The Chinese have utilized the Prime Minister’s untruth to deny that they are occupying Indian territory elsewhere in the globe.”

“Now, the only person who can match the Prime Minister in lying and distorting facts – the Home Minister – has also given a clean chit to China,” he said.

Jairam Ramesh continued his assault on the Central government by enumerating information “which the Prime Minister and Home Minister are denying.”

* China has taken over 2,000 square kilometers of Indian territory; * China has 26 of the 65 patrolling sites in Ladakh under its control; * China has established a hamlet and controlled 50–60 km of territory within Arunachal Pradesh. Satellite imaging has verified this information, and BJP MP Tapir Gao brought it up in the Lok Sabha.

Jairam Ramesh also detailed the Congress’s measures to fortify India’s defense against outside threats and reaffirmed the party’s resolve to taking on the problem head-on.

The Party has openly admitted in its platform that China is a danger and that the country is occupied, and it has also offered a strategy to bolster national security. China’s annexation of Indian territory would end definitively on June 4, he said.

Amit Shah had earlier said, “China couldn’t encroach a “single inch” of land under the Narendra Modi government,” while speaking at a rally in Lakhimpur, Assam.

Jawaharlal Nehru had said “bye-bye” to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh during the 1962 Chinese invasion. These states’ residents will never forget that.”
