Congressmen attempted to mislead the explosion investigation: Ashoka

State Congress officials, according to Assembly Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka, are attempting to sabotage the investigation into the Rameshwaram Cafe bomb case.

Ashoka informed the media on Saturday that Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao had alleged that a BJP worker was questioned when he supplied important information for the investigation, while Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who had visited the bomb site, had mentioned economic rivalry as a likely motive for the incident.

He said that the Congress attempted to sabotage the investigation out of concern for their vote-bank politics. The BJP leader expressed gratitude to the NIA for apprehending the accused in the case, stating that the explosion at the café had instilled terror in the public and that by apprehending the guilty, the NIA has stopped several future assaults of this kind.

He claimed that the accused had not visited the BJP-ruled states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, or Rajasthan because they thought West Bengal was a secure location.
