Crowd Chants “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as Congress MP Rahul Gandhi Interacts With Army Veterans at a Market in Leh

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, spoke with Army veterans on Monday at the Leh market while also raising the flag. Gandhi posted a video to his social media accounts showing a massive throng gathering nearby singing “Bharat Mata ki Jai.”

While on his Ladakh vacation, Rahul Gandhi tweeted a video on X with the description, “Ladakh echoed with the praise of Bharat Mata!” He is now in the Leh market.

Days before, the Wayanad MP had said that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government’s allegation that Chinese PLAN forces had not claimed even a square inch of Indian territory was “not true” while speaking to Army veterans in Leh. He said that the villagers agreed that the Chinese forces were trespassing on Indian territory.

The ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is carried out by Rahul in Ladakh.

Rahul Gandhi’s trip to Ladakh, according to the Congress, is consistent with the Bharat Jodo Yatra since it allowed him to fulfill a promise he made to an Indian delegation during this nationwide march.

Rahul Gandhi met with a group from Ladakh on January 24 at the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jhajjar Kotli, Jammu, according to a post on X by Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh.

This week’s travel to Ladakh “is in fulfillment of a commitment made to that delegation,” the official said. “They had wanted him to come and hear the people’s perceptions of the border challenges with China, as well as their views on empowerment of local elected bodies.”

Gandhi said in a post on Instagram that “Bharat Jodo” is ingrained in each and every Indian’s heart and thoughts.

“A striking illustration of this oneness is the resonant chorus of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ that reverberates across Leh’s streets. No force can silence this voice, which is filled with love and friendship, he said while posting images from his trip to the Leh main market.

On Saturday, the former president of the Congress traveled on motorbike across the Union Territory of Ladakh from Leh to Pangong Lake.
