Dead pedestrian struck by a vehicle

Around six o’clock on April 14, a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the main street in front of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan.

Joseph Masih, the pedestrian, was seriously hurt in the collision. After being taken to a local hospital, he passed away while receiving care.

A charge of displaying carelessness while driving has been filed against driver Chetan Singh of Sector 70 at the Sohana police station, after a complaint from Karamjit Singh, a resident of Jalandhar.
