Delhi: A man with persistent tuberculosis commits himself in a park

According to an official, a 37-year-old man with severe TB committed suicide on Friday by hanging himself from a tree in a park in southeast Delhi. Satya Narayan, a resident of Sanjay Colony, Okhla Phase-2, was identified as the dead.

DCP (southeast) Rajesh Deo provided information, stating that at 7:21 a.m. on Friday, the Okhla Industrial Area police station got a PCR report of a dead corpse near Harkesh Nagar Park, which is behind Deepalaya Public School.

Police at Harkesh Nagar Park hurried to the scene and discovered someone hanging from a banyan tree.

The DCP said that during the investigation, it was discovered that the deceased Narayan had chronic TB. On Thursday at midnight, he told his wife that he was anxious and agitated and that he was going outside to get some fresh air.

The senior officer said that there were no visible wounds on the deceased’s body. “Crime team members and forensic specialists arrived at the location of the event, examined the surroundings, and took pictures. Narayan seems to have taken his own life,” the DCP said.

According to the official, the deceased person’s corpse was given to the family members after a post-mortem at AIIMS Hospital.

“According to legal process,. There are plans to start further procedures under Section 174 Cr.P.C., he continued.
