Delhi CM encourages AAP MLAs to visit their districts and address people’s issues

On Thursday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs were asked by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to visit their respective constituencies on a frequent basis to address the problems that the people are facing with different government agencies and other concerns.

In a video chat with his spouse, Sunita Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi delivered a greeting to every member of the AAP. Notably, during Sunita’s speech, a picture of Kejriwal behind bars was prominently shown in the backdrop for the first time since his incarceration, accompanied by pictures of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on the right and BR Ambedkar on the left.

“Just because I’m in prison right now doesn’t mean that any other Delhiite can’t get help. According to Kejriwal’s statement, “every MLA should make it a daily practice to engage with constituents, inquire about their concerns, and proactively resolve any issues they encounter.”

Kejriwal asked the party’s MLAs to provide their steadfast support in resolving any problem that Delhi’s two crore citizens confront in his message. He emphasized the need of working to solve other issues raised by the public in addition to addressing issues pertaining to government agencies. “I consider the people of Delhi to be my family, and I believe that no one should ever have to endure grief for any cause. God be with all of you. “Jai Hind,” he exclaimed.

Kejriwal has been sending letters from behind bars ever since his detention in the excise policy case on March 21. He promised in his previous communications that, upon his release, he would honour his vow to provide Rs 1,000 to every lady. In other communications, he told Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj to make sure there is enough medication available and to perform free testing in hospitals, and he told Delhi Water Minister Atishi to address problems with water and sewers.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, national secretary of the BJP, and Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva took issue with Kejriwal’s portrait beside BR Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh. He called for the AAP to be dismissed right now and that it should be embarrassed of itself.

Sachdeva criticized the AAP for offending the public’s feelings by placing Kejriwal’s picture next to images of respected national heroes. He went on, “By allowing Sunita to conduct political discourse from the Chief Minister’s official chamber and seat, the AAP consistently undermines political standards.”

Sachdeva emphasized that Kejriwal is accused of corruption and that the AAP’s decision to place his picture next to that of patriots is an affront to their dignity.

Sirsa said, “The AAP has made a grave mistake by equating Kejriwal with Bhagat Singh and Dr Ambedkar.” Sirsa questioned how Kejriwal’s image could be compared to that of Bhagat Singh, who gave his life in defense of the country, or Dr. Ambedkar, the drafter of the Constitution, pointing out that Kejriwal had been accused of being involved in a “liquor scam.”
