“Departments should collaborate to eradicate malaria in Karnal.”

In order to eradicate malaria from Karnal, Karnal Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Anubhav Mehta emphasized that all government agencies must work together in concert.

He urged representatives from several agencies to prioritize locations that are prone to water buildup and to encourage cleaning.

“Working together across government departments will be crucial to making Karnal malaria-free,” he said as he presided over a meeting of the district-level malaria committee at his office.

Mehta gave the departments of Panchayat, Urban Local Bodies, and Health instructions to fog their respective regions.

Mehta also gave the order for all Sub-Divisional and Block Development Officers to conduct routine village inspections. “We need to step up our efforts to eradicate malaria even though the number of cases is consistently declining each year,” he said.

In order to stop mosquito larvae from reproducing, he also gave the Urban Local Bodies Department instructions to keep an eye on the places where trash was disposed of and to act quickly to remedy any waterlogging issues.

Mehta also emphasized the need of inspecting fogging devices and fixing any issues as soon as possible.

The city’s leaky taps and pipes are the responsibility of the Public Health Engineering Department.

The SDM emphasized how crucial it was to keep public restrooms clean and make sure that water did not stand still in the vicinity of schools.

Schools must to aggressively raise awareness, and the Department of Transportation ought to stop water

accumulating in worn-out tires and workshop supplies to stop the growth of mosquito larvae,” he said.

Mehta gave the Health Department the order to start a public awareness campaign in order to protect people from malaria, save lives, and encourage cleanliness in the area.
