Dissident leaders in the Rajampet constituency refuse to cooperate with the TDP and YSRC candidates

In the Rajampet Assembly seat in the Annamayya district, candidates for the ruling YSRC and the tripartite coalition seem to be refusing to cooperate with those who have been rejected party tickets during the election campaign.

Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy, the sitting member of the YSRC, did not get the ticket this time around, but the party leadership made up for it by sending his brother, Meda Raghunath Reddy, to the Rajya Sabha. However, reports said that he is not offering YSRC candidate Akepati Amaranth Reddy any assistance since he is dissatisfied with being ignored by the party.

Former MLC Bathyala Changal Rayudu, who ran unsuccessfully from Rajampet in 2019, was hoping to get the TDP ticket again this time around, but Sugavasi Balasubrahmanyam received it instead from party president N Chandrababu Naidu. Changal Rayudu, irritated, has declined to work with the TDP official candidate. With time for last-minute adjustments, the former MLC is reportedly not giving up and is working tirelessly to demonstrate that he is the best candidate.

Rajampet is made up of the mandals of T Sundupalle, Rajampet, Siddavatam, Vontimitta, Nandalur, and Veeraballe. There are 2,37,191 voters in the constituency overall, including 1,21,430 women and 10 transgender people.

Changal Rayudu lost to Mallikarjuna Reddy in the 2019 elections by an overwhelming 35,272 votes. Mallikarjun Reddy won the segment in 2014 as well, however he was running on the TDP ticket.

assessing the state of affairs To address the matter, PV Midhun Reddy, the YSRC Lok Sabha candidate and MP for Rajampet, spoke with the Meda brothers and Amarnath Reddy. However, it is said that Mallikarjun Reddy filed a complaint against Amarnath Reddy, alleging that the latter was attempting to silence his followers by disregarding them in issues pertaining to the party. Mallikarjun Reddy allegedly began transferring his supporters to the TDP, according to the Amarnath Reddy camp.

However, Changal Rayudu is still pushing himself as the TDP candidate and advertising his “Intintiki Bathyala” campaign, which is confusing voters. According to reports, Sugavasi is neglecting Changal Rayudu, which puts TDP and NDA Lok Sabha candidate N Kiran Kumar Reddy in an awkward predicament. Before nominations are filed, Rajampet residents are waiting to watch how this political scenario plays out.
